STAGE READING: ONE ACT PLAYS BY THE WRITING FELLOWS, VIRGIN LABFEST 2012 & 2013



The Cultural Center of the Philippines will present a Stage Reading of selected one-act plays of the Writing Fellows of the 2012 and 2013 Virgin Labfest Writing Fellowship Program on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at 3:00 PM at the Tanghalang Huseng Batute. 
 
The one-act plays were chosen from the completed plays submitted by the fellows of the 2012 and 2013 Virgin Labfest Writing Fellowship Program, excerpts of which were read in the  Stage Reading at the end of the Fellowship Program as part of Virgin Labfest  in July 2012 and 2013. In response to a call for submissions of completed plays   by the CCP Artist Training Division in the middle of September 2013, 7 plays were chosen.  The plays chosen were the following: Comfort Room by Stephanie Andaya, Nagdudunung-dunungang Karunungan by Francisco Cabuena, Checkmate by Ma. Christina Pangan, Reunion by Zazza Simbulan, Kalayaan by Christa De La Cruz, Drop Zone by Miyo Sta. Maria and Ang Huling Stage Reading ni Romulo Dulah by Christian Tordecillas. Ticket is on sale for Php100
 



 Liza Zheng Piano Recital-October 26, 2013 7:00 pm - TANGHALANG AURELIO TOLENTINO (Little Theater)

A special event featuring the 15-year-old pianist, Lisa Zheng, in cooperation with the Manila Symphony Orchestra. This recital begins with Mozart’s concerto in F, then moves into a series of solo pieces, featuring the works of Chopin, Liszt, and Ginastera. The recital ends with the grand Yellow River piano concerto. This will be the musical debut for Lisa.
